Terms of use

By downloading, installing, or using QuizJam through the Apple App Store, Google Play, TestFlight, or another approved distribution channel, you agree to these Terms and Privacy statements. If you do not agree, you should stop using the app and remove it from your device.

QuizJam is provided for entertainment, classroom, workplace, and social-use quiz sessions. Features may change over time, including quiz formats, timers, premium packs, host tools, and player join methods.

QuizJam is provided on an “as is” basis. We aim to keep it reliable and enjoyable, but we cannot promise uninterrupted availability on every device, network, or platform version.

Premium purchases

Some quiz packs are available as premium upgrades. These are single-purchase, non-consumable in-app purchases. In plain English, that means the host buys the pack once and it is not used up.

Premium pack purchases are intended to remain available indefinitely for the host account that purchased them. They are not subscriptions and they do not renew.

Only the host needs to own a premium pack. When the host starts a game using that pack, invited players can join and play without buying it themselves.

If a purchased pack does not appear immediately, QuizJam may need a short moment to confirm access with the app store. The in-app restore option can also be used to resync previously purchased packs.

What QuizJam stores and uses

QuizJam needs a small amount of app data to host and join live quizzes. This can include local player/session details, current game state, quiz settings, and purchased-pack access state so the app can tell which packs a host is allowed to use.

The app may also process connection and session activity data so live games can stay in sync while players join, answer, and view scores in real time.

If you use the QR join flow, QuizJam also needs camera access so it can scan the on-screen invite code. The app is not using the camera for public posting, recording, or unrelated tracking.

What QuizJam does not do

QuizJam is not built as an advertising app and it does not sell your personal data. It is designed around running live hosted quizzes, not building a public social profile.

QuizJam does not require every player to create a permanent account just to join a host’s game.

QuizJam does not ask for contacts, photos, microphone access for general use, precise location, or unrelated personal profile information just to play a quiz.

Data retention and removal

Session and purchase-related information may be retained for app operation, troubleshooting, and fraud prevention. If you remove the app from your device, locally stored app data on that device is removed subject to any device-level backup settings you have enabled through Apple, Google, or another platform provider.

Purchased non-consumable premium packs remain tied to the store account and app identity that bought them, and can usually be restored if you reinstall the app or move to a new device.

Third-party platforms

QuizJam may rely on Apple, Google, and related app distribution or payment services to process downloads, purchases, restores, and device-level billing records. Those platforms handle their own data under their own terms and privacy policies.
